OUR HISTORY

J M Appraisers Co Ltd was established in 1998 by Mr. Joseph Major, a past student of Fanshawe College, London, Ontario, who attained a four-year diploma in Civil Engineering Technology (Structural).
With over 30 years experience in property and building valuation throughout The Bahamas, Mr. Major and his company have performed cost estimates for large building projects along with project management on complex, small-type projects.

J M Appraisers Co Ltd is certified in Real Estate Appraising, Review Appraising and Valuation Consultation. We have acquired membership with many professional partners.

Joseph F M Major - MRICS

Founder & Partner, with over 30 years experience in property and building valuation throughout the Commonwealth of The Bahamas.

Rosalie Major - Accounts Manager, Partner

With approximately seventeen years’ experience in real estate appraisals and she undertook a two and a half years educational course with the Bahamas Institute of Bankers. She is also the Financial Manager.

Godfrey Gardiner - Partner, Human Resources Manager, Technical & Financial Consultant, Cost Estimator

Mr. Gardiner is a former banker with seventeen years of mortgage andconsumer financing as well as more than ten years of business experience.

Eli Bullard - Director of Technical Services

With approximately thirteen years of experience with JM Appraisers. Mr. Bullard holds a diploma in Professional Appraisal Skills and Bullard is a licensed appraiser and salesman with the Bahamas Real Estate Association. He is a Certified Construction Inspector andCertified Cost Consultant as a member of the Association of Construction Inspectors, an international member of National Association of Certified Home Inspectors and has successfully completed the National Home Inspection Examination (USA). Mr. Bullard is also a member of the Association for the Advancement of Cost Estimating.

Sherkita Johnson - Technical Associate

Mrs. Johnson has been with JM Appraisers for approximately nine years as an associate and is one of the key personnel for recording and processing Appraisal and Draw Inspection requests and preparing Appraisal, Draw Inspections and Quantity Surveyors reports.

Rachel Colebrooke - Customer Service Administrator

Mrs. Colebrooke has been with JM Appraisers for over four years and is one of the key personnel for recording and processing Appraisal and Draw Inspection requests and preparing Appraisal reports.

Renal Attilus - Office Clerk

Mr. Attilus with just over a year of experience with JM Appraisers and is one of the key personnel for recording and processing data for Inspection requests.
